Community Newsletter: Winter 2026 Edition
As we begin the New Year, we would like to thank our residents for their cooperation and involvement throughout 2025. This newsletter includes important reminders, community updates, and upcoming programs. Thank you for being part of the Quaker Meadows community.
Community Updates
At the beginning of October, we enjoyed an apple-picking trip with a great turnout and lots of fun.
We also hosted several community events throughout the season. For Halloween, we handed out candy to all the residents who stopped by, and it was wonderful to see so many creative costumes.
Our Thanksgiving dinner was another highlight. It was heartwarming to see residents come together—everyone had a great time celebrating and enjoying each other’s company.
Resident Spotlight:
We also held our annual holiday light contest. Thank you to all our residents who participated and helped make the community look festive and bright!
Congratulations to our winners:
1st Place: Jeannette (98-302)
2nd Place: Amarilis (47B)
3rd Place: Kareen (88-202)
We also held our kids’ holiday party. Although it was a cold night and attendance was smaller than expected, we still had a great time. We enjoyed pizza, played games, and eagerly waited for Santa to stop by.
Finally, we hosted our adults’ Christmas party, which had more attendees than expected. The Yankee Swap was full of laughs and made for a fun and memorable evening for everyone.
This holiday season, Corcoran Jennison Companies / CMJ Management has continued its support for My Brother’s Keeper. This holiday season, we adopted 10 families, through their Adopt-A- Family program. Quaker Meadows partnered with Fawcett’s Pond in Hyannis to purchase items needed for one of the families. We were able to fulfill their wish list and more. It was so nice to be able to give back to a family in need during the holiday season. Collectively with all the properties, we had the opportunity to make a difference to our local community families.
Upcoming events like Valentines social event, St. Patrick's Day dinner and others. You will be notified as well as these will be posted with dates and times. Watch for the fliers. We look forward to seeing you there!
Our Condolences
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Renee Giddinge and Linda Burke in 2025. Both will be greatly missed here at Quaker Meadows! Their families are in our thoughts and prayers.
Manager's Notes 🏢
Happy New Year to everyone at Quaker Meadows! I want to thank ALL of you for your cooperation with all the projects and inspections in 2025. We appreciate it!
During the annual inspections conducted in November 2025, we noticed several apartments did not call in if work was needed. We had extensive lists of repairs in some apartments. It is important to let us know if something needs to be fixed in your apartment. You can put a work order in by calling the office, send us an email, let Jenny know, or put a work order in through our new LOFT portal. We want to be sure everything is working as intended.
Thank you to those of you who attended our 2025 events. They were a lot of fun because you came. We are looking forward to more fun events in 2026.
If you haven’t provided us with an email address, and have one, please call the office to let us know. We are working toward sending all notices and information via email.
Christmas Tree Disposal: If you are disposing of a real Christmas Tree, please place it in a bag before bringing it out of your apartment to the dumpster. This will help keep the pine needles from falling in your apartment and in the common areas.
As a reminder, there is no disposing of furniture or mattresses any longer. The City of Lynn has a program to remove mattresses and box springs. If you are buying a new mattress, please ask the salesperson if they will take away your old mattress to avoid the hassle. Furniture disposal will require an additional truck for $100 and $25 per piece being removed, which you will be responsible for. Please call the office if you have any questions.
Are you going away during the winter months? If so, please contact the office to let us know who has a key to your car to move it for the snow plowing company. It is imperative that we have the cars moved for the plow company when they return to clear the parking spots. All vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense if they are not moved during that time.

Maintenance Notes 🔧
Happy New Year to everyone at Quaker Meadows!!
Is there an issue with your baseboard? Please contact the office to put in a work order. We would be happy to address it so your heat will be fully functioning. If the baseboard cover is bent it could prevent the heat from flowing properly. It is important to let us know.
Are your outlet covers broken or the receptacle broken. If so, please report this to the office immediately to avoid a hazard or electric shock. We want you to be safe.
Loose door handles and cabinet doorknobs can be fixed. Please let us know if any of your door handles are loose, we would be happy to fix them.
Are you buying a new washing machine? If so please call the office so we can check your washing machine valve to make sure it will turn off properly for your installers.
Is your disposal making a funny noise? If so, please call the office to prevent any damage to the disposal.
We would like to cordially remind you to not discard the following items in your garbage disposal. Bones (of any kind), celery, potato peels, eggshells, fruit pits, grease, pasta, rice, and coffee grounds. These items do not break down easy which then causes backups to the drains.
Please periodically check under your sinks for leaks. If you notice a leak, please call the office immediately to avoid further damage.
As winter weather continues, and icy areas start to form, please use the salt provided in the buckets located at each front entrance. Spreading salt on icy spots will help keep you safe and prevent slips and falls. Thank you for helping us keep you safe this winter!
Is your kitchen faucet hard to move, either left or right? If so, please let us know as soon as possible so we can fix it.
Thank you from the Maintenance Team

Recipe Corner
Spicy Pork Noodles
Ingredients
10 ounces rice noodles
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 pound pork chops, thinly sliced
2 green onions, thinly sliced, white and green parts separated
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups snow peas, thinly sliced
2 cups shredded carrots
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons chili paste, plus more to taste
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
Instructions
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Once boiling, add rice noodles and cook as per package directions until tender.
When the noodles have 5 minutes of cooking remaining, prepare the pork. In a large pan on medium-high heat, warm the olive oil and sesame oil. Add green onion (white parts only) and garlic and cook for 1 minute until tender.
Add the sliced pork to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, flipping it to cook on both sides, until lightly browned and mostly cooked through, then add snap peas and carrots, toss to combine with the pork, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Add the soy sauce, chili paste, and honey to the pan, and toss it with the pork and vegetables until everything is well coated. (Feel free to add more chili paste if you like things spicy.) Once everything is well coated, turn down the heat to low.
When the rice noodles are cooked, strain them, and then transfer them to the pan, gently tossing them in the pork until well coated. Drizzle with rice vinegar and toss again. Then taste and adjust the seasoning with soy sauce and/or chili paste as desired.
Serve the pork noodles immediately with a garnish of sliced green onion. Any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
